Canadian Law Student Wins Ent. of Year — U of Alberta

From the Edmonton Journal:

Ben Block’s Sundial Graphics has had 190 per cent year-over-year monthly sales increases since he launched the company three years ago. That helped him win Alberta’s top student entrepreneur award from Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE) last Friday, and he’s also one of two regional winners who will go to the nationals in Toronto in May.

The 27-year-old University of Alberta law student’s company specializes in business promotion, including websites and marketing material, and has done work for national brands such as Molson.

“I started Sundial part time when I was taking my business degree, and it just kept growing. We have eight employees now including me, and I’m bouncing back and forth between the office and university like a pinball.”
