These guys have been making the rounds and using Penn’s great infrastructure. From TechCrunch:
Three students at the University of Pennsylvania—Joseph Cohen, Dan Getelman, and Jim Grandpre—are quitting school to launch a new education startup called Coursekit, and they’ve raised $1 million in a seed round to do it.
They cover many of the highlights of why the campus is the frontier for entrepreneurs — networks, brain power, ‘campus’ as market or ‘mining the miners.’ While this is interesting to see, it flys in the face of the Steve Blank lean start-up movement that is taking hold on many campuses.
